Default Power question

I was just curious how this works. Ok so I have a kenwood cd player which is 50x4 I think its 19 rms. My blazer has 6 speakers. So the back 2 speakers would get a full 50 watts (i know they wont really get that much power, lets just say they would) So then you have the door and dash speakers which are the front speakers. How is the power divided between these 4 speakers?? do they just basically split the power down the middle. If i was to unhook the speakers in my dash would the door speakers start receiving the rest of the power that was originally goin to the dash speakers???

Default RE: Power question

let me make that a little clearer its kinda confusing the way i said it. so my cd player is 50x4 so it can give 50 watts to 4 speakers. It has 200 total watts. The 2 speakers in the rear would receive 50 watts each. Then there are 4 more speakers up front. So it has to divide 100 watts between these 4 speakers. How is this done?? Would each of the remaining speakers receive 25watts??? If i was to unhook the dash speakers would the door speakers then be receiving 50 watts??

The vehicle is wired as a four channel system. You may have an extra two speakers in the dash but because of the way they're wired, the head unit still sees the same as load as the back ones. Basically 50x4 is what you have. You want more sound start by replacing the speakers and then add an amplifier to run them all and I'm sure you'll be quite happy.
