Default power wire?

I did a search and found out how to get the power wire from my battery to the inside of my truck. I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy 2Dr. I found out that the easiest way is to run the wire from my battery to a grommet near your left foot on the passenger side. this is right??right? anyway I was wondering i have 4gauge wire. Is it best to run it down the side or straight down the middle. If i go down the middle i think that means all interior needs to come out. Is it possible to run the wire down the side? What do you recommend?

I would pull the pass seat out and the back seat. Run the power wire down the middle. I just did that on my 89 Jimmy, but I ran 1/0. There was no way that the wire would go down the pass side. With your 4g, you might be able to. I would still say to go down the middle. Tape the wire down so it doesn't move on you later.

you can definately fit 4g on the side. I can see how blazinjason was having trouble getting the 1/0 on the side, but i got it done.

yes, like ali said, you can squeeze 4 ga under the panel, but when I did my many runs of 1/0 i just pulled out the passenger seat and ran them there.
