Default Quick Head unit wiring question.

I have an aftermarket wiring harness with:

1. Orange/white stripe says dimmer and
2. Solid Orange says illumination/dash

My JVC head unit has:

1. Orange/white wire

Which do I splice into? one or both? I'm thinking just the one that says illumination?

Thanks,
Jarrid

just use the illumination wire. Most cars don't have power going to the dimmer wire.

Thanks, I used the illumination one and it works. I ran into a different problem though.

What problem?

I was also wondering about the dimmer control.

Can you actually use the dimmer switch that controls the dash, to control the head unit dimmer?
