I have a 2001 Trailblazer with the regular radio system, not the bose. Today, the radio just stopped working. I bought another working radio from a junkyard, and that one didn't work. With my original radio in, the fan on the back doesn't spin, but the eject button works. Nothing lights up, and nothing plays. If I click the OnStar button, it plays and I can control the volume via the radio with no problem - just nothing lighting up, am/fm, or cd usage. I don't wanna upgrade, as this is just a spare vehicle for me, but I dunno what the problem is. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know where to look or where to start.

have you checked your fuses? have you checked the wiring to see if anything is corroded or has been cut somehow?

Fuse was the first thing that was checked, but its getting the 12v constant on the orange wire because the CD eject is working, andI checked the voltage on it. The person that had it before me had a system in it, but all they had was the 2 audio wires and a green wire tapped into. I am assuming that the 2 audio are not causing it, but what does the green wire do?
Also, which other wires control the radio system to power it up? Which wire is the 12v ignition switched wire?

as i think that is normal wiring. the 12 volt switched would be yellow. green i would figure is a speaker wire, but i can't be quoted on that. so hopefully someone with knowledge of a trailblazer can help.
