Unhappy Rear interior speakers

I've been looking up and noticed some problems with the rear interior speakers. i've noticed that my own speakers aren't playing or putting out anysound as of now.. i've not had time to take anything apart to find out if the previous owner had hooked up the speakers correctly or if he just blew them. Can anyone tell me if they are prone to blowing easily?

Is your stereo stock or have there been modifications?

When I bought my 2002 the rear speakers did not work. I swapped them out with aftermarket speakers and didn't have any more problems. The odd thing is that the original speakers still work and aren't blown.

I would upgrade to aftermarkets, but if they aren't working he might've blown them, but something seems to give out in the connectors really easily. after i took mine out, cut the connectors off, i rewired my rears with the stocks, minus the connectors and they worked fine.
