is replacing a blown speaker that hard?
the other day i blew the driver side panel speaker on my 2000 blazer i cant see it being that hard to repair. it would deff save me a lot of money to repair it my self so any help would be appreciated.
I don't know the size of speaker.
To replace the speaker : remove the doortrim panel.
: Remove the speaker retaining rivets.
: Remove the front side door speaker.
: Disconnect the electrical connector.
Reverse the procedure for installation. You can either install new rivets to secure the speaker or use screws.

The answer to this question is No. It is very simple to replace the speakers, I have done this on both the Blazer's I have owned a 4dr and a 2dr. If you have a 2dr you have 6.5's in the doors and 6x9's in the back. If you have a 4dr you have 6.5's in all doors.
The trick to getting to the speaker is knowing where the screws in the door panel are.
In the front doors you have 3, one behind the door handle and the other two under the door handle grab. You will need to remove the trim piece around the door handle after you remove the screw.
The rear doors have the same screw behind the door handle and the same procedure for the trim piece. Then there is a cover in the basin of the door grab that you have to remove and I believe their are 2 screws under this cover.
After screws have been removed the rest of the door panel is held on by plastic retainers. You will need something to get between the door panel and the door to pry the panel off.
Hope this helps.

Go to the auto parts store and look for a door trim removal tool. Not expensive at all. Just slide a cotton towel (I used an ordinary household washcloth) in between the door and the panel and get the removal tool in there to avoid scratching the door. Make sure you get the tool in right where the retainers are and they will pull the retainers out without breaking them. Don't put your hand back there and pull. The back lip of the door panel is a little sharp and I sliced my hand on it (ouch)! You can buy new retainers at the auto parts store too. They are cheap too. And yes, there are two screws under the cover in the back handle grab.
