Default Stereo Question

I've got a quick question for you audio gurus here, I've got a second hand 2005 s-10 blazer with an aftermarket headunit (Alpine CDA-9827) and I want to replace it with an Alpine CDE-163BT (current head unit doesnt have any external audio input) and I was wondering something. Do I need to get a new wiring harness for the new head unit, or because of the fact that they're the same brand would I just be able to use the existing head unit's harness to simply "plug and play".

Thanks in advance guys, happy to be a new member on this amazing forum!

There's a good chance that it will. I've done the same thing with different Kenwood and Pioneer head units.

Depends on how old the previous head unit was.
All new pioneers (single din) use the same wiring harness, when I got my new deck recently i was able to just plug it in and was good to go.

When you remove the old one, check to see if it plugs in, If it does, check the wire colors and compare with the harness that came with the new deck with the old one already wired to your truck. If they match up, you are good to go.
