Default Stock radio won't play tapes

A while ago, I cleaned out my tape player by blowing it out with a low pressured air tank. It played fine, and I used it a lot. However, sometimes I would go out there when it was cold and it wouldn't play tapes until it warmed up. Now it won't play them at all. When I put them in, it just clicks. Sometimes it actually plays, but it keeps clicking, so it speeds up the tape every two or three seconds and sounds terrible. Is it just dirty again or is there something wrong?
