Default Subs are clicking...

I would love to tell everyone what specific types of subs and amp I have but the friend I bought them from didnt know what the hell he was doing with them anyway. So all I can tell you is I have 2 Kicker 10s and a Kenwood amp. Ive tried to do internet research on what kind they are but I guess theyre too old.
So onto the problem. The subs are making a kind of clicking noise. All the wires were connected ok. Its doing it in both subs too. Should I check voltage or something across the wires?

Yeah. I wanted to say popping but that sounds too violent for what its doing. And yes, I turned the volume down & it was still doing it.

The amp is grounded on one of the bolts for the back seat, and its an alpine deck. I will check when I get a chance

You could try and getting a ground loop isolator. Could get one from a circuit city cheap right now.

or actually clean up the ground and check that. pull the ground bolt off, get it down to bare metal, nice and shiny and try again.
