why do you want so much bass?

and if you're going to buy 4 L7s for loudness why not go with 2 15 Sundown Nightshades or something like that? Sundowns are known for their SPL levels and are some sexy subs.

L7's are only good for one thing, spl and spl only. they sound like crap tho. if you gonna spend money then do it right the first time. i say pick up a pair of dc audio level 4 15's and match them with a nice 3k amp, i think that would be plenty. when i do sell the strokers im going with the dc level 5 xl's, those are wicked subs.!

I like the feeling I get when someone gets in the car and all they have to say is, "Holy ****". Ya know? Haha. I'm also an attention ***** when it comes to cars xD

And wolf, I was thinking about some DC's as well =] I'm probably just gonna go down to a few car audio places. I'm not sure if I want to do this install myself or just get it done. I know how to do it, I've just never hooked EVERYTHING up by myself before. And do you know how much 15" XL's cost?

thank you wolf for being honest with the sound of L7s. i didn't want to say it but they sound bad. square subs can't reproduce sound waves the way that circle subs can.

my 1 12w7 is more than loud enough to give people that kick in their chest, draw attention if wanted and still blend with music when turned down. it also takes up much less space than the 4 L7s which means i still have usable trunk

DC, FI, RE, Sundown, DD, and even Kicker Solo X subs are loud and when turned down to blend with the speakers can sound really good

I was told not to go the FI route mainly because a lot of people have problems with the guy who sells them. People will contact him for their warranty and he wont answer back. Things like that.

I'm gonna check out DC, RE, and Sundown.

the newer lines of RE subs are junk. I would shy away from anything with "x" in the name "SR-X, SX-X" and such. They are cheaply built, now

i'm jealous

I dont even know what to get anymore. Haha. I want it to be loud, but I want it to sound somewhat nice at the same time. I know 12's sound better with all kinds of music. But 15's are nice and loud [:

I'll probably just buy my friends box if it can fit in the back of my Blazer. I've heard it before and I know how it sounds. Its pretty sick.

size has very little to do with how it's going to sound. Do not listen to people who say "10s sound better than 15's because they are smaller and can move faster" or whatever else they can think of. its all BS. alot has to do with what the sub was designed to do and the enclosure.
