I have projectors right now, but Im thinking of getting HIDs in there.

Those are the ones I have right now. I might not even change to HID these are pretty good as is.
Those are the exact same ones I have, they worked great with an HID kit. Totally blows the halogen setup away.

I really should finish my retrofit one of these days, lol.

Nice. That will be my project after redoing the tailgate/bumper then.

You will have to modify the projector to accept the HID bulb... The passage that the glass goes through will need to be enlarged... A dremel works best.

Also, if you're brave enough, I think it'll work better with the wire of the HID bulb facing down (by default, in the H1 kits, it's usually up) so you may have to trim the wire...

Though, I could always pack up the projector bowls I have, since I'm putting S2000 HID projectors into mine...

If your talking about bouring out the hole the bulb goes into i found that a step bit does the job the best! i found with the dremel there is to big of a chance to get an uneven hole.

I used a dremel, just fine... The bulb barely clears, and can easilly go back to halogen

And I suck with a dremel! lol, it's easy to do... Just remember to take the bowl off the headlight, and be careful when cleaning the filings out of the bowl... You don't want to scratch it.

To get the bulb in with the wire facing down, you need to trim the base... It might not be neccesary, but it worked out good for me...

I got my HID kit from Pilot HID, and have had no issues with it. It still works great!

And if you do need warranty work, they're still going to be around, unlike the ebay companies...

Color temperatue is NOT brightness. Don't get anything over 5000k. The bulbs will color shift and turn even more blue. For crappy kit bulbs, get 4300k, it'll likely color shift in less than 20 hours.

8000k has less usable light output than 5000k... and it gets worse from there, and is harder on your eyes.

You're going to get high beamed a lot, btw.
