any help or advice would be appreciated....

id like to i d the engine...and post a pic of the engine bay...as im not sure if the engine is original to the truck

How to decode Chevy Engine Codes

that will tell you how to find and how to id the engine off the numbers you find, chances are the numbers will be covered in grease and dirt
