I'm gonna start off with the story about the truck. It's a 1990 K5 Blazer 1500 5.7 TBI my grandfather had traded a V6 Caprice and some cash to boot to a dealership in 1991. It's only got 66k original miles but has a quarter size hole right in the center of cyl.5, that being said im setting the numbers matching block on the back burner and my buddy has given me another 350 block that's bored .040 over that im going to build. I've been doing a lot of research on 385 stroker builds and I know it's pretty much the same as the 383 strokers just different bore. The thing is I want to keep the TBI setup maybe use the throttle body off of a 454 tbi if need be. I do have access to a set of steel vortec heads I'm thinking about using but figured I'd hop on here and pick y'alls brains I do know that edelbrock makes an intake to run the TBI and vortec head setup but I don't have $500 to shell out for it. I'm also trying to figure out what cam, connecting rod length,and piston shape I should go with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll post some pictures of the truck whenever I get the chance.
