Well, Got the motor on the chassis. New pilot bearing, flywheel, clutch and slave cylinder and installed.. Then mated up the transmission (what a pain in the *** that was to do solo)

I know it has been forever since you were on this thread, but I am getting ready to start a very similar job. I have a 90 4 door blazer that I am looking to put onto a 98 4 door chassis. If you could give me any pointers, or maybe even an update on your build that would be awesome. Thanks

Sure, I can give an update. Its been a long time and the truck has evolved quite a bit. I did step away from it for almost 2 years due to a move and career change that really threw me for a loop. But by chance, I happen to have started working on it just this year.

I find it very interesting that your truck appears to have a wood fired heater!

Well be sure to keep your thread up to date.
I myself am not looking at such a build but I'm sure there are many that will be looking for tips and tricks.

Good luck!

That looks awesome, how bad was it to get everything lined up on the newer chassis?

The question - are there adapter hoses available or am I forced to go custom?
Did you ever get this figured out? I used a Russell adapter fitting at the master cylinder end, then used a -3 braided hose to the slave cylinder. I have an aftermarket slave cylinder, though. I'm not sure if there's any way to adapt the braided hose to your stock slave cylinder.

nothing to it. Everything lined up and I only needed to slightly move 4 body mounts roughly 1/2"
