I have to say after driving with the new rear shocks I have started to notice a major difference. The *** end feels much more stable and I really feel it over some of the rough roads on my way to work.

Here is a picture of the blazer just because

Got this thing out. I will probably just sell it on craigslist unless someone on here wants it.

So, this happened

The passenger side isn't much better off. I got 2 new ones from a dealer on ebay for $29. They should be here on Wednesday.

Nice work man! Taking care of ones ride.

Back to the oil cooler. I would go for custom but never delete the oil cooler/intercooler on these engines with so little oil in the pan.

Ordered this guy on Friday night, I should have it this Friday. 253 amp alternator for $109.54

Snagged this from a Bravada at the salvage yard yesterday for $20. I already have Bravada ***** so they will be in the classifieds after I clean them up.

That's sweet. When my alternator dies I'm going to get a high amperage alternator like that. And the bravada switch looks sweet. Did the Bravada's come with some sort of electronic climate control and blazers did not?

The Bravada and Blazer have the same climate control system if you have the automatic garbage like I do. The bravada one looks a bit nicer, plus i think mine might be bad.

Got a package from Rockauto last Thursday.

I had noticed that the stock alternator was doing ok as far as voltage. It was usually around 13.5 volts at the OBD II port since I use Torque Pro to monitor voltage. I was at a light the other day with the AC on and then the engine got up to 199 degrees and the fans went into high speed and it dropped to 11.9 volts. I had the DR44G tested and it tested okay. But I couldn't pass up a 253 amp alternator for that cheap.

So I got this put in on Sunday. I drove home from work today with the AC on and the sub all the way up and it it 13.0 volts for a split second and then never went below 13.3 again. I didn't want to push it hard for more than a minute or two though. I heard that alternators have a "break in period". I am not sure if there is truth to that or not but I figured better safe than sorry.

I have to look but my climate control is the older style in my 95 and it is definitely not anything fancy like yours. Not sure if the bravada's that year had different climate control or not. I just saw your new alternator. It looks sweet. Thinking about replacing mine in a few months. If yours works out, for $110 I think that's the one I'll replace it with. If you don't mind me asking, what was the part number for yours? I use rockauto all the time.
