Either side (positive vs negative) would work. putting fuses on the positive is just the standard.

Check the shackles, mine rusted and broke on one side causing a sag. New ones fixed that. pics in my link I posted.

I have never heard of putting the fuse on the negative side.

It hasn't given me any issues yet. I might just solder it in place and call it a day.

So I decided to hide my amp and wires by using the factory On-Star cover. However, it didn't fit over the amp, so a little trimming was required.

This is as far as I could get with a fully charged cordless dremel. Time to break out the extension cord.

here is everything I cut out

Fits perfect, just need some cooling fans installed and then attached.

Man, this is a great thread! You have done much of what I want to do. Once I finish getting the mechanics in order, my next venture is LED dash lights. I also want to replace my deck. Keep up the build!

Thanks. I want to add a couple PC fans for cooling before I mount it, don't want to overheat a $200 amp. I might not get to it for a week or 2. The wife works and I got a bunch of other stuff going on at work.

So have a new development. I have a horrendus engine knock that just started. It sounds like it is coming from the driver's side of the engine. Also it goes away when it warms up. Time for a V8 swap?
