If a V8 was a direct bolt in I would seriously consider it, but financialy, there is no way. What I do find odd is that the noise goea away after about 5 - 10 minutes of driving it.

I already have an e-fan. However I drove about 100 miles this weekend and it only made the noise twice. It did it for about 5 seconds when I first started it before I wen to the store on Saturday, and for about 1/2 a second yesterday when I was leaving my parents' house. It hasn't done it at all today.

Here is what I was working on when the engine noise started, totally unrelated. I had a coolant leak, and I replaced the upper radiator hose, because that is what i thought was leaking. It wasn't the cause of the leak, but it needed replacing anyway. my water neck (above the radiator) was shot.

rust bubbles, no good

old & new.

I finished installing the cover for my amps. I used 2 80mm PC fans, since they run on 12v. I used a 3 inch hole saw. the one that is mounted lower is the intake fan and the upper is the exhaust. I am running them off the remote turn on for the amp. I may wind up getting a 5 - 9 volt voltage regulator to slow them down since they are kind of loud. But for now, here are some pics.

what is that on-star cover? I'm guessing it is only for blazers with on-star, but where does it usually go?

It is the on-star cover. Since I pulled out the on=star I just mounted the amp where it used to be. Then I figured I might as well throw the cover back on.
