Arrow 2000 GMC Jimmy. "Frankenstein"

STOCK: 2000 GMC Jimmy, 4x4, 4 door, 4.3 V6, 4L60E.
MODDED: engine, trans, fuel pump, brakes, suspension, dash, exterior paint, wheels, audio, etc...

Over the course of the last two weeks I have installed an LM7 (5.3 V8) from a 2001 silverado 4x4 2 door Z71 with a 4L60E.
Rack and pinion steering and electric fans from my 1998 V6 camaro.

I am still making changes. I'll never be done. This is NOT a how to but I will try to put all I can into this to help others. I'm not rich so I achieve results with ingenuity instead of cash.

$200 Complete engine with harness. (trans, O2's, C2 fuseblock wires cut off)

$120 Rack and Pinion from Camaro. (rockauto.com cost NEW including ends)
$100 HPTuners suite, computer reprogrammed. (2 credits used)
$100 Fluids and Filters from autozone. (trans, oil & filter, air, power steering)
$97 4L60E transmission rebuild from EBAY.
$35 Electric fan from Camaro. (local junk yard cost)
$18 Upper cooling hose from 2001 Silverado. (not a great fit)
$10 Steering Shaft support bearing from summitracing.com.
$5 Steel plate used to mount the engine. (scrap from local weld shop)

Radiator, lower cooling hose and motor mounts stock fuel system from 4.3 V6 made to fit new setup.

Alldata and LT1swap.com were used for information purposes. Single bay garage to work in. No air tools used. Only spent what I had to in order to finish.
Pics and explanations coming later tonight hopefully.
I removed the front axle to utilize the truck oil pan. I did not alter the frame in any way. Mounted the fans to the front due to lack of space behind radiator. Swapped the saginaw steering system for rack and pinion to get better response and to lighten the front.

I'm back to update the thread...

I'll get more pics and descriptions up soon. Did a rough rebuild on the engine and trans. Built custom wiring harnesses. Plenty of other time consuming stuff...
