dont forget to undercoat your frame and tow hooks, makes em look great!
plans sound nice.
cheap things like blazer and chevy window decals always make it look nice and original. make sure not to overdue it though haha
and are you going with a black or chrome theme?
taping off and painting your chevy bowtie in the front grill also adds some originality and is cheap. just a few small cheap suggestions

Soft 8 is a steel rim made by Crager. Cheap, and good looking!
Blackbastard- When I applied my rockguard, I applied it to the wheelwells, frame, tow hooks, and under the bumpers for a uniform, 'professional' look.
Also, I followed the body lines, I taped up before that little body panel 'dip' I want to call it..the crease. I did this because I figured the crease would hide any inperfections that I might come accross, and sure enough, it did!
I see alot of guys taping up after the body crease, resulting in very poor, easy to tell its home done job. Everyone I've spoke to so far thinks my lower rock guard was stock! I'll get some close up pictures to show what I mean about the body crease

sounds nice! definately like to see some pics of it.
ill be putting up new ones as well. i recently put a black chevrolet decal on the top of the windshield, black outs on my headlights and tailights, and i painted my blazer and chevrolet badges on the back hatch flat black by taping them off and using a razor blade to trim it off. and i just ordered a black chevy bowtie, identical to the one on there now, just gonna replace it.

Touched up the rockguard today, removed and painted the chromed on the grille, taped off the emblem. I find the black and red really contrast eachother on the front end! The untouched bowtie gives the eye something to focus at. I really like it.

what kind of paint did you use for the rocker gaurd and chrome?
what process did you use to do it? (primer, sanding?)

First thing I did was to remove the chrome fender trim, using a rachet with I think a 10mm socket, I beleive there are 10 bolts per fender trim.
After that, I took a corner from my lower body molding and pulled that right off. Took a few mins to peel the remaining glue off. Once that's done, I grabbed some 800 grit sand paper and just started to rough up the surfaces. I didnt bother washing before I sanded. I should have, but oh well.
Then, I bagan taping. I chose to go with the 1" wide green masking tape. Around the fenderwells I went in small pieces to try and retain some curvature. Once again, I taped below the body indent to hide any inperfections.
Once it was all taped, I began spraying in short, controlled bursts, using a cardboard piece to help reduce overspray. I recomend getting one of those spray can attachments that has a trigger, as my fingers and thumbs were murdered after this!
I went through 3 cans originally. This covered front bumper, rear bumper, both sides, inside all wheelwells, and the exposed frame.
The product I used is avaliable at Canadian Tire, or Walmart

Soft 8's are on! 15x7 with 4.25" backspace. I'll get better pics later today. Next up on the list, maybe black tail lights and shackles. Soon, 31's and blacked headlights/turn signals. CAI is here today, I'm not going to put a heat sheild in, there fore making it a warm air intake. I didnt buy it for power, I bought it for fuel economy, so a warm air intake will be ideal for my purposes.

Looks good. I used the same stuff for my frame rails and rear suspension too.
