Default 88 s10 blazer 4x4 build

Started by taking it down to the frame in the front, I took the body off the frame but just lifted it up, didn't have any place to put it, replaced body bushing s and added body lift. replaced all bushing on the suspension, new brakes, ball joints, tie rods. New v8 conversion radiator, with electric fan. 3.4 from a 95 Camaro, retained TBI for now. Engine has been completely rebuilt with all new parts, mild cam from comp cams, wider throttle body, with 4.3 injectors. Comp Cams roller rockers, high volume oil pump. Rebuilt Trans and Transfer Case, new water pump, new distributor and coil, emissions delete (egr currently still there, until i get the chip flashed), removed cat. Dyno max cat back exhaust. Needs some body work and paint still, doing that soon. Center console conversion from a 97 blazer I believe. Working on ideas to make it look good with the factory t-case lever retained. Added a rear spare tire carrier from a 4 door blazer, not sure of the year but it was a gen 1. Still have a lot of details to button up, but she runs strong and is starting to look great. check out the link for the album pics

Looks good so far, lots of time into it you can tell. Was it 2.8 before?

yes it was a 2.8. Doing an aluminum fan shroud this weekend and remounting all the skid plates and oil coolers and such. I need to try and find a junk yard that will let me cut a piece of roof off to fix a rust area I have, then I can prep for paint.

Things looks great and you have done some fantastic work on the engine between the build and detailing it.

I noticed the Texas tag on the rear - where about are you? I'm up in Bowie, halfway between Fort Worth and Wichita Falls. Might be able to find a roof up here for cheap.

I'm in Sugar Land, just southwest of Houston. I will post some more complete pictures soon, I just finished the fan shroud last night, haven't installed it yet, got too late last night, but it doesn't look bad, made of 3031 18 ga. aluminum. I can get a roof down here, we have 3 large pick a part yards in Houston, right now i know at least one of them has about 5-10 gen 1 s10 blazers. I am trying to decide if I want to get the entire roof or just the section I need.

I know where Sugar Land is! Been through there a few times when my Mom was at MD Anderson when she had her stroke in 2004. I was staying at my sister's place near Freeport and driving into Houston. I actually need to come down your way as your Pick-n-Pull yards are a LOT a better than what I've got to pick from up in the Dallas and Sort Worth areas. If it were me, I'd get the whole roof, if you have the storage for the remaining section once you're done. Never know when it will come in handy for other patch repairs at a later date.
