'91 blazer project
I got a 1991 2 door 4.3 automatic 4X4 blazer from my nephew about a year and a half ago. It had a bad engine BUT I also got another good 4.3 engine with it, just have to swap a few thing out on it. I started on it right after I got it but then quit due to the cold weather ( I don't have a garage . . .yet). This is it when I got it.

I got a BUNCH of interior and misc. other parts so I laid them all out to see what I had.

The original blue interior had already been removed which was good because I decided to go back with the black/gray interior that also came with it.

I started with the most "easiest" job, putting the interior in.

With that done I basically quit on it for a while. Now that warmer weather has got here I started back working on it again. I had to lift the body up to get the bolts out to remove the engine. Got that done and had to remove the oilpan to swap over to the other engine. Found the bad engine had spun a rod bearing on number 4 rod. Oh well spare parts. While I got the engine out I had to repair/replace some wires that the field rats seemed to have had a "field" day chewing on.

all that was left of the distributor wires was the plug at the distributor, nothing between there and the main harness but got those fixed.

That's where I am at the present time. Going to replace the oil pump and gaskets before installing the new engine in the next few weeks. maybe I'll finally get this thing on the road. already got some extra blue interior parts left over and may have some other parts when finished, don't know yet. I'll update it as I get stuff done. Not sure which way it go just yet. Maybe I'll get it done before I get bored with it.

Well it has happened. I've got bored with it before I got finished with it. I got the engine installed and started hooking it up just never finished it. Now I've got tired of looking at it sitting there so I've put it and all the extra parts on craigslist for sale. It may not stay on there long if I start getting a bunch of spam but its there for now.
It didn't sell so I started working on it again. Finally got the engine back in it & I got the exhaust hooked up, the front brackets, a/c, alt., and power steering pump back on and the water pump and fan. I'm gonna put the radiator on & bolt the body back down and hopefully try to crank it later today. May keep it & let my wife's dad use it unless something goes wrong then its out the door or trade for some other project.
Yeah this was definitely a bit of a challenge but all the hardest work is done finally, just gotta replace the throttle body and get it fired up.
Hooray!! I finally suceeded at geting it running! Got the engine finished up yesterday and tried to crank it but it would only intermittently "hit" but not crank. Made sure the fuel was getting to the engine and finally just quit. Later that evening it came to me, It's 180 degrees out of time! but it was too dark to mess with it. SO when I got home this evening I checked it and sure enough it was 180 degrees out on the distributor. corrected that after a bit more "nudging" it the engine finally cranked! It even moved under its own power. Got to adjust the shifter linkage due to it not wanting to go into park that good, and do something about the vac actuator for the 4 wheel drive (probably do cable swap) and few other little odd & ends.
