99 Jimmy 1 ton build
Joined a few months ago , posted a few pics and have been getting a lot of requests for build info. so I figured I would post a build thread.
here is what i started with :
bone stock 99 Jimmy 2 dr with 150k

I had a set of 1 ton Axles from a 98 Dodge just taking up space. so......

I decided they would go great under the Jimmy , so the cutting began

Rear was first , because it was much easier .... Stock springs with a couple of leafs added , SOA.

On to the front , homemade cross member , Dakota leafs SOA. Axle set 2" foward , Astro van gear box and TJ drop pitman arm. 1.5 DOM steering with 7/8 heims

Picked up a set of Military H1's with 37" Goodyears, recentered the H1's to 3"back space with Copperhead Fab centers:

Custom built front bumper all made from 3/16th plate

Ended up with this :

First trip out in the woods and I popped the motor

So out with the old and in with the new ......

While it was down for the motor swap I went ahead and pulled the trans and transfer case . Had the 4l60e rebuilt with all the goodies and swapped out the 236 for a 213c manual shift from a 93 s-15.
I made up some rock rails and swapped the 37's for 39.5's
