I know you can use something to double the strength of the line.... If interested I'd sell it for like 100 + shipping.

 

everytime i see your avatar i think of my old jimmy and your not to far away either.. you ever wheel at rousch creek. i went a few times over the last couple years in mine. sadly it got parted out after some idiot in a corrolla ran a redlight.. even after i got the frame straightened it was never right again. hit a pothole or dip in the road and it jumped all over the place. heres what she looked like.. i sold her to a kid around your way so perhaps she is still around.



here is what it looked like when i sold it.

 

a 4k lb winch is better than no winch, but at the same time it'll look bad if someone asks you to pull them out and you've only got 4k. Get what you can afford but if it can be put off i'd wait and get a 9k

As far as getting yourself out, it really depends on how you're stuck, a 4k is more of an ATV winch or a support line

there was a lot of water at the throttle body... engine won't turn over. I'm gonna pull the plugs sometimes this week see if I can't drain any water out. Might be looking for an s10.... if I can't fix it

 

Thats ****ty bro! Looks like I got out at the right time! I loved my Jimmy but its sitting at my dads dead as well. Hopefully all works out!
