Washed it and took the roof basket off. I am too tall to park underground with the basket now. I think I will make a low profile basket in the future.

I have had issues with my motor mounts since going to 33's. I have a manual trans. and it is probably partly due to no torque converter absorbing shock. Also, the 3.42 rear end doesn't help. Anyway here is my solution.

I used some leaf spring bushings some 1/8" plate and some 1 1/4" 1/8" wall tube I had laying around. I also used part of the original mount. I was going to go solid mount but this seemed like a better plan. time will tell.

I was going to double stack the bushings but there wasn't enough room.

Thanks guys. Practice, practice and more practice is the only way to learn to weld. School helps too.

REAR BUMPER TIME!

Sketched out the plan.

Cut and ground the shape.

Tacked the old frame mount to the brackets so I could transfer the holes.

Mounts are finished. I need to order some 2x6x3/16 rectangular tube. The mounts will go straight through the 2x6. I took a couple of pics just to get the idea.

Looking good!

Also how do you like the tires you have on now compared to the wrangler territories?

Territories are great and if they had them in 33x10.5x15 I would have bought them again.

KM2's surprised me last winter. I was expecting to be all over the road but I wasn't. On road they are great for a MT. Off road they need to be warmed up sometimes. Over all I'm impressed with them.
