"dirt devil" build thread
after all the work was done i had taken it to Krown rust control where i was working and sprayed it with a rust inhibitor to protect the undercarriage and body panels from the harsh Canadian winter and salt. i also had gotten the engine tuned up with a engine flush,fresh oil change and seafoamed the engine and fuel system to flush any debree out and make it run perfect for the winter.
thx man next im upgrading the transfercase to a np233 and getting some custom rock sliders made and a rear diff u joint guard to protect it from rocks. im also gonn make a custom rear track bar and add limiting straps to the rear so i don't max out my shocks at full flex
Nice I'll be bolting my sliders on tomorrow for good until I decide to add the step to them. And not sure if you saw the secret that's semi revealed in my build thread but I'm anxiously waiting to hear if 1 deal goes thru so I can make another deal lol!
so its been awhile since I updated my trucks progress so here it is over xmas holidayz my radio fried so I got a good deal on a new kenwood blue tooth hands free deck and installed it

then we had a hudge ice storm we all knew about and caused a tree in my grandparents to fall down against their house so I could not move the branches du to the sheer weight of the ice on them so I used my winch.




after all the branches were moved I went and did some offroading on a construction site and did a small photo shoot.




here was what the truck looked like on a nice day a few weeks after new years.








then we had a hudge ice storm we all knew about and caused a tree in my grandparents to fall down against their house so I could not move the branches du to the sheer weight of the ice on them so I used my winch.

after a few more weeks passed after work one night me and a co worker decided to do some wheeling on a winter storm and it lead to a bad night of getting stuck for 3 hours. i broke my winch trying to haul my self out and had to call my friend with his jeep jk to winch me out that he broke his new smitty built xrc 10000 first time he used it so we had to use straps. here is pics of my winch




after assessing the damage the next day i went out to try and buy a new winch for my truck when the worst happens. i was leaving a offramp and hit some ice and my rear tires kicked out and i took out a thick wooden speed pole sideways and ended up in the ditch. the pole snapped like a tooth pick and didn't cause much damage thank god.



2 rival tow trucks showd up and nearly got into a fist fight with eachother. they had to close the exit as i was too stuck that the tow truck had a hard time pulling me out that i had to assist him

after i fixed my door and hammerd out the fender i replaced and rebuilt the snorkel. i still need a new winsheild and fender but im wating til spring. i had orderd some led lights on ebay and they finnaly came in so i hooked the red led light strip under the dash. added led reverse lights and new cree led fog lights




i decided to replace the front winch plate as it was a flaw design and go with a removable front hitch reciver. so i can use the winch on the rear and front if needed be. here is the work
here is the winch plate cut off










after the winch reciver was done i went and picked up a np233 transfer case with front drive shaft for 80 bucks and sent it to a transmission shop to be rebuilt and have the drive shaft cleaned and add new u joints. im upgrading my axles and gear ratio from 3.42 to 3.73 and a 7.6 rear end to a 8.5 with locker. pics will follow as soon as i get them.
as for upgrading my cb whip i wasn't getting a clear signal talking to ppl so i upgraded to a stainless steel whip




u prob wonder why the rear bumper covers are off its cuz im adding onto the rear bumper with steel.
