So how does the posi-lock cable work as far as shifting between 4low and 4high??? I'm interested in doing this to my truck. In my opinion the stock vacuum actuated set up sucks and just doesnt seem like sound engineering???

You still have to use the switch to change between 4Lo and 4Hi, as the T-Case is still electronically controlled. All the actuator does is lock in the front differential.

Got it!!! Mine seems to shift when it wants to, not dependable at all. Replaced some dry-rotted vacuum lines and have read many of threads about the subject here on BF but havent been able to get it fixed as of yet. Better but still not right.

honestly its a great setup and its fail safe the stock vacum actuaitor is relied on engine vacum and can kick out any time. i like being able to lock the front diff when i choose or when i can dissconnect it in 4 lo for towing around our boat

So i'm guessing that if you disconnect it while in 4-lo you're still running in low at the rear wheels while disengaging the front wheels. Hmmmm.... 2-lo Interesting, never thought of that.

this week has been a productive week and i decided to get started on the zr2 s10 torsion bars i picked up for 70 bucks. i had to use some heat and a sledge hammer to knock them out of the cradle and seized keys and the cut off control arms and ended up with the bars.

heres the truck how it sits before i got started on replacing the bars

shes on the ground with the pressure added

as she sits now after driving it around to ge tthe bars to settle

ok so its been awhile since i been on here. i been busy with work and decided to get alittle busy this weekend. today i had a chance to wash and clean all the mud off my truck from our last group outing which was a pretty good turn out 1 jimmy and 2 blazers and 3 jeeps heres some pics of us togther before we stareted wheeling

heres some pics of my buddy toms blazer with 5 inch superlift and 33 inch micky tompson tires.

friday me and a friend ended up cutting off my stock muffler as it was clogged and limiting my hp and tq from offroading and pulling our boat so i found a 1 month old stainless steel magnaflow muffler and welded it in place of the factory muffler and i must say it flows soo much better but never took pics as it was too dark out

since its sunday i had some time on my hands to work on the truck we installed a new brake booster into the truck as mine was leaking alot of air and couildnt stop the truck. it wasnt a fun or simple job AT ALLLLL. after that was done i gave the truck a well needed bath and vacumed the floors. when it was dry i used some duplicolor bed armor on the front bumper, stinger bar, rockers, inner door structure, tail light gaurds, rear bumper and plastic quarter panel trims.

i also decided to mount the military grade steel gas can tempoarly til i get a custom bracket made up. i paid 15 bux for the can.

i also mounted the axe on my roof rack with some new clamps and quick fist rubber clamps,

i also found these for free on a jeep that was at the wrecking yard they are military grade mole pack seat covers. i took them off and washed them when i got home on saturday and installed them today.
