Looking good, how does the camera act on the the bumps and rough road? I had a go pro and it was really shaky

 

i have some vids i will post up after im done editing. in the mean time after all the rain we have been having and places been flooding out i decided to get busy and make a custom snorkle for the truck. its almost finished waiting on the head from ebay and got to make a custom bracket and gravel gaurd it.

here is how it all begain



hen i cut out the bracing in the fender to make room for the hole to be cut into the fender ont he outside


then here is some materials i gatherd to make it



then we cut the hole bigger on the front of the stock air intake box



we inserted a pipe fitting and used marine grade clear silicone


then we cut the hole into the fender and mocked up the snorkle to make sure it fits right

after it was measured right we glued it all togther and hooked up the intake box to the pipe


heres the truck how it sits now. i used rtv black silacone to seal up the joints to make sure its water tight and ill be adding the snorkle head to it tomorrow and paint it.





i also picked up a scan gauge 2 to monitor the engines vital functions and parameteres as well as see hp gains and fuel economy and check and clear lights

Your jimmy looks great, and what did you do with your washer fluid tank to get the snorkel to fit there?

Also what do you think of the scan gauge?

 

the mini camera i have mounted rocks it doesnt shake it moves with the vehicle as its firmly planted to the window. i am gonna mount the resivour on the passenger side and make a bracket for it or go to local scrap yard and find a slim design one and convert it over. i love the scan gauge it helps show my vehicle functions and parameters as my truck was tuned with hp tunerz last year.

 

i got the snorkle head in today from mylasia so when i get the truck back from mr transmission im gonna finish the snorkle. the truck is getting a rear main berring seal replaced

I wanna know why in the H*** is there a Prius in one of your videos lol!!!

 

U see a prius cuz at the end of the trail there's a hudge parking lot and it leads to a road ppl park there to take their off road rigs and atvs and xtvs on the trails

 

HAHA I figured it was something along those lines!
