Now, the Blazer is in the warm garage an waits for the winter.
I want to remove the vacuum 4x4 switch and this s**t. Find some good manuals for installation for the np233 manual conversion. But I donīt want to install a posi-lok. I want to replace the vacuum actuator by a solenoid like on K2500 or similar.

So, I want to remove the hood, the Battery Tray and measure the way of vacuum actuator and compare it with the way of the solenoid of the front diff solenoid of my buddys K2500.

Default 4x4 Conversion complete

Hi Guys.

A long time I wasnīt here.
The reason was my 4x4 Conversion.
I have had to check, what does not work, how can I fix it and whatīs the most useful construction.

Iīve seen, that the transfer case work, but the front axle doesnīt locked in.
the vacuum hoses were worn, and I wonīt use them longer.

So, I got got the idea, to use any other Actuator.
At least I get the Actuator of aī93 K1500 Pickup of my buddy. This Actuator have a plug with 2 wires, so it was good to regulate.
I designed a bracket and a cylinder with a slider where the shifter cabke is fastened.

Here some pictures of the 3D-Model:

The bracket ist mounted at the same position of the stock vacuum actuator bracket.

I made some cables to the middle console and a Killswitch to regulate the actuator.

Here are some pictures.

the position in the passenger side fender

the shifter cable (red arrow) and the slider (yellow arrow), where the shifter calbe is fastened

Today I already installed it all and made some test.
And it work great, was cheaper and looks better than the Posilok-parts.
And it was made by myself.
So, I am a little bit proud to make a useful conversion to remove the vacuum actuator.

btw I changed all vacuum hoses and placed them near the transmission vent valve with some sintered metal filters.

I hope you like my conversion.

Awesome!

I have inventor at work too but I'll mostly be using some piping modeling programs like CADWorx.
