East German Blazer Rebuild and customizing

It looks awesome, Powdercoating would be the way to go with aluminum.
This may be a stupid question, but why make it smaller than the original?
Nevermind I figured it out... raises torque for belt driven accessories, and also reduces moment of inertia. But that will slow down the power steering pump as well as the alternator? hmmm...

Sure, the performance of the water-pump, alternator, etc will be decreased.
Underdrive Pulley Kits contains pulley for alternator and/or water-pump too, and the diameter is between 25 and 50% smaller than stock.
I wonīt use pulleys for the water-pump and alternator at the moment, because I will try out how it works. If I see, that itīs working good, I will made a pulley for the alternator, but not for the water-pump. Cooling ist to important.
Now, I must look for blower motor, last night I made a little trip to some rocks and the motor fails, but it just looks like slack joint.

Nice SUV men. Looks good. Congratulations.

I suggest looking into ceramic coating if you want to keep that shiny look of the aluminum.
Nice progress so far.

My best friend made a bad accident at monday.
On the way to his work he span out, crashed into a slope and made a rollover on the road.
His K2500 is all f***ed up, but he is ok. Only a cut in his elbow.
Itīs really sad, because, the Pickup has a new rebuild carbureted 350 V8, bodylift, B&M-Shifter and many more nice things.
I loved this car.

Wow that sucks. Looking at the truck its amazing he walked away with only a cut elbow.

Yeah, much luck.
And the engine and transmission is still running. ;-)
And now, itīs really hard to find a K2500 with that conditions in germany.
That sucks much more.
And these a**hole, they want see blood on an accident and take photos.
In my opinion, they must be beaten until they are bloody.
Sorry, if that is against the forum rules.

This weekend, I removed my Valve Covers, because the rubber seal of the breather was broken.
So, I ordered this breather cap, because the stock breather was stresed by the bodylift.
And this looks much better.
Until the breather cap arrives germany, I painted my Valve Covers blue metallic.
But I must still paint it over with some clear varnish.
offtopic: Here are two pictures, of the accident, made bie auxiliary fire fighters Benshausen.
The white/grey building, left in the background is his working place...
