I am Back
hello everybody.
due to work related sircumstances i had very little time to join you..
overal view and general looks.
In the above pic. you can see my general plan.
the scructural frame has been welded in with a opening for a back window.
The edge of the bed is made and curved in the shape of the body, and also welded in.
In the pic below , i am working on the floor and sidewals of the bed.
I am using square tubing 20mm so i have a flat surface on witch i ca instal the floor.
Floor is gonna be made out of 18mm thick plywood water resistant, and on top a stainless steel sheet of 1,5mm.
Some of you may think that my working order is somewhat chaotic, and you are wright,
I work all over the car and have no plan on what is next to do,
the pic below was a big surprise.
Surprise.!!!!!
When I was working underneath the car at the left front suspension, i came along a crack in the frame.
after some more looking and cursing i found out that this piece was compleetly distached from the chassis....ooohh joy and hapiness.
Soooo after cooling down i started to dismantle the front suspension in order the gain access at the aera that needed welding.
The piece on the bench next to the burner belongs in de great dark hole of the pic below.
As you can see on this pic. there are several cracks forming in my chassis......More Joy...not really.
2 days later everthing looked much brighter...all cleaned and welded up.
The chassis looks bad in the pic but was actually quiet good.
after this i put on some SEM 2k rust preventer and it looked like new.
greets to you,.....!!!
