The Sonoma... who knows at this point. I wanted it driving before winter... didn't happen. Then I wanted it driving by end of winter.... probably not going to happen. Maybe by June it'll be on the road and handling DD duties for a while so I can do some upgrades to the Blazer. No clue how long that will take. So realistically the Sonoma won't be getting SAS's till at least next summer I think.


I saw the progress, exciting to see. You'll definitely be done before me.

 

Wanted a break from working on the Sonoma for a bit so I've been working on a diff cover for the last little while.


Started with a model in Sketchup to get all my pieces figured out and dimensions for cutting





Then cut everything out











Drilled the holes








Making sure everything clears











Fitting the rest of the pieces together





Starting to weld








And weld and weld and weld... Inside and out.











All smoothed out





And in primer
