At first I didn't see the clear part. I was thinking, "that is the most useless pet barrier ever". Then I looked again and saw it.

lol yeah that wouldn't work too well...
It's great when driving though. You barely notice it's there. I find those bar ones annoying.

Haha I didn't look close either and was like wtf maybe it's not finished yet lol! Do you have vents back there to keep it cool/warm?

lol didn't think everyone was so blind..... I have pictures of the entire build, guess they would have helped to see what is going on.
There's no vents, but there's lots of room around the barrier to let the A/C and heat back there.
Got some more work done on the bumper tonight
Cut up a piece of I-Beam to use as some bracing, only took 3 cutting wheels to get this piece cut off lol

These two pieces are what all the cutting was for

Tacking it in place

I also got some gussets tacked in place, and fixed one of the front panels that was a bit off. Here's what the back side of the bumper is looking like.

I have one of those bar ones and it is kind of annoying to look at. Also, my dog figured out how to push the adjustable sides over. So the other day I was driving and all of the sudden I hear rustling and then she just climbs into the front seat like she belongs there. That bumper is going along well.

If should would pick a seat and settle down, it wouldn't be such a big deal to me. But she never settles, she constantly is jumping between the front and back. She never settles down anywhere.
I had yesterday off because we were getting new internet installed. So I figured I'd spend some time in the garage before the guy came. Well he didn't show up until 3, so I was in the garage from 9-3.
I started off with making the shackle mount gusseets. 45 degree cut on one side was easy enough and compound angle on the other was a bit trickier but I got it.

I have two for each side, going to put one above anbradced one below the plate.

Then I cut some braces for the mounts to the winch plate. These were quick an painless with the chop saw.

Rough placement of where they'll end up going. There'll be two on top and two underneath on each side.

Then I drilled out the fairlead bolt holes.

And got the light mounts tacked in place.

Playing with the lights made me curious how bright they were, so I tested them out. I didn't take any pictures of the bumper lights, but I did take pictures of the little LED lights I'll be using for rock lights. They're pretty bright.

Those are the rock lights I have in my bumpers and they're definitely a lot brighter than I expected them to be!

That bumper is going to be super strong, and heavy.
