yea its swung out on the highway before going like 50 mph it screached my tires a little but still in tact! I want to get a shock on on it, so it doesn't swing so freely

Ohh... I think I remember you posting that before. The strut/shock or cable is a good idea to slow it down and to keep it from opening too far.

I couldn't remove one bolt from mine at the junkyard and I had to end up ripping it off the blazer. It took a LOT of work to finally tear through the body panel. With 6 bolts, I don't think it's possible for it to rip through

I knew someone put a cable on theirs, but I couldn't remember who. Got a picture? I don't really care about locking mine, but I was thinking along the lines of a small cable and hairpin clip like you use for hood pins.

lol for a second I was like woah did he paint his blazer white??? and then I remembered you have racing stripes. so that lock doesn't interfere with the tire rack closing?

I had to do mine a few times to get them the way I wanted to. lol wow I'm glad I didn't have trouble getting my rack off since I bought it off of someone and they were still driving it around... I asked her if she cared there were holes in her quarter panel but she didn't care so... I haven't seen that bravada since
