Let’s put a 5.3 in it
Ok 4 hrs of wire deleting chasing etc. gave me a headache. Looks as if I’m missing at minimum 2 connectors. Followed instructions from lt1swap.com
I will trace wires back to pcm see what I’m missing. But a break is in order. This is the part I was dreading. I’m gonna push forward and try to complete tonight

It's been a long time since I've looked at these swaps but if I remember correctly the truck manifolds don't work well/at all because of the angle they exit pointing straight at the frame but the factory f body manifolds work nicely because they exit towards the rear. I'll take a look in my storage unit in the next few days and see if I still have my f body manifolds and if I do I'll make you a really good deal on them if you're interested. I may have some other swap parts left as well but it's been so long since I've looked at my parts stash that I don't remember what I still have left!
That would be sweet and yes I’m interested for sure. Let me know what you have!!
update. I got all the wires sorted. They are not chitin when they say the wire harness is a job. By God it is. With that said the work so far I’ve completed on it was double checked and I’m 100% confident. I still have some work to do like heat shrink and soldering. Basically a bunch of pink wires need to be grouped together and just run one wire back to a fuse/relay box. This is just to pretty things up. Looks like a few more hours of work.

So little recap of this. Look I’m not any type of expert on vehicles or swapping engines. I was extremely nervous but excited to do this! The wiring sounded like a PITA and it was. But YouTube LT1swap.com lays out exactly what is to be done. $600-950 for a plug and play wire harness. Pssh I can buy a whole nother truck for that kinda money. Teach a man to fish. The anxiety of depinning a computer of course it was overwhelming. Looking back at it. WAsnt hard at all. Take your time your saving a good chunk of money. I’ve not finished the wiring but feel accomplished. If you buy from a junkyard as I did and some plugs are missing. Remain calm and push forward trace them back and see what pcm is controlling. I gotta work this week but will work on fuse box that sounds to be separate. I will keep updating for anyone interested as a lot of swap from start seem to be dead.
