Just paint the whole tire with flat black I work in a detail garage and that's what we do if the tires and rims look like crap.

With school and work I haven't been getting much done on my truck lately but here's a small update

There was a hail storm a few months ago that gave me some more hail dents (already had quite a few from another storm several years ago) and I went to my insurance catastrophe claim center a couple days ago. The guy doing the estimate said it might be enough damage to total the truck so he submitted it to the total/loss department to see what they think. They said with the volume of claims coming in, it might take a week or so before they make a decision on an estimate and call me to see what I want to do. If they think that it's enough damage to actually total it out, I'll almost certainly buy it back or else not follow through with the claim. Not going to give up a perfectly good vehicle and risk buying a lemon or POS.

Anyway, I finally had a full day off from work and school so I decided to take my grill/bumper/brushguard off and paint some stuff. I've been looking for a body color bumper and grill but decided to go ahead and paint them black until I can find red parts. I also repainted my spare tire carrier. Had originally hit it with some cheap paint that faded pretty quick.

I'll post some more pics later on once I get everything put back together. I'll keep you guys updated on what the insurance co says as well
