I'd say lose that bit of trim instead of trying to make it fit, if that was your attention. Just a little bit of fine sandpaper to sand the jagged edge and your done. Don't think anyone could have done better, very nice and clean job. I only wish I had a garage to work on mine.

Nice done. Just cut the same things out yesterday. Maybe it helps a bit...

Garages are overjudged. I`ve done all the work on my Blazer outside, regardless if it was raining or snowing. You just have to want those things done...

That comment alone just motivated me.

Sorry for the hijack, but I just have to post those pics. Those are a few examples of working outside. No pics of the rainy and snowy days, because I didn`t want to mess the camera...

I think I have to take a few pics the next days, when we work on my buddys cherokee...

Don't think I'll keep the trim on. I took it all off years ago but I was thinking now that there's a hole in the fender, the trim migh cover it up. There's still a fairly large gap even with the trim so it isn't serving much purpose. I'll probably get some touchup paint to cover the exposed metal edges

I wish I had a stand like that for work lights. I have two small ones that are great for laying down and lighting up the underside but a vertical stand like that would be awesome

So what did you end up using to cut it. It sure is a nice clean cut. Good job. I hope I can match your efforts. I wish I had gotten 0 offset wheels. I got negative 11. 4.5 inch backspace. 3.75 would have been perfect.

I used mainly a hacksaw but also some metal snips for the back side. The passenger side turned out a LOT better than the drivers side which is odd because I had done that one first and only had a coarse tooth blade. Before I did the drivers side I found some metal snips and bought some finer blades for the outer cut of the fender.

I still need to bend the black fenderwell in a little more because at full lock, the tire comes real close to hitting it. I just test drove it for the first time with the new tires and got some pics. I didn't go up past 45mph and didn't take any hard turns but it seems good so far, don't see any spots anywhere from any rubbing.

Hoping 2" shackles will even it out
