My 93 4x4 project "Skinny Wallet"
i got 3 rolls of Raam mat and a ton of ensolite for the truck. then i also used mlv for the entire floor to deaden it... it did the trick and cost about $500

Imjust gonna spray the entire interior metal with a thick coat of rubberized, the roof too before putting the interior back in. But I have a feeling I need another truck to continue this project and am actively looking. Its ugly when I start poking at the cab bottom with a screwdriver in some spots, and all 4 fenderwells are trashed...
So maybe the green one will be the parts truck, and I need one with better cab condition. Or a cab I guess. Or if there is replacement inner fenders for the back, that might solve it. Im sure we would be able to patch the floor in the couple spots its rotten.
So Ill probably just toss it all in, and let her rattle till I find the right truck, or make up my mind on how much work I want this one to be.

i did not do the headliner because of how much the roof heats up in the direct sunlight, i didn't want the black tar oozing onto the headliner...
i understand the thought of ditching the truck. i thought about it for a long time and just buying another car. if you have a hard time deciding to ditch or not to ditch i say keep and repair

I have always liked the look of first gens. My brother has a 2gen S10 lowrider.
I wouldnt get a 2gen cause I only pay 500 bucks for vehicles. Never more.
Ill probably keep this one anyways, just get another to do the rebuilding on. Ive got this one with tons of new parts on it that I could just use as spares, or whatever. Or keep this one and do it. I have to go look at another one this weekend if my roomate pays me her damn rent that I covered for her, then Ill blow it on another truck. Ill fix up the nicer conditioned of the two. All Ive really done is add the stereo, which is not alot of work to swap over, and alot of cosmetic stuff that I would have done anyways, its not like Im thousands into this thing yet so thats a good thing.
My problem is that this green one is a BC truck, and I live in AB. I would need an inspection here that I wont pass right now, or else I keep paying my high BC insurance premiums and keep driving it. If I get another, I can get cheap AB insurance, and use my cool licence plates on it, and take the insurance off the green one. But then the green one would be the project still...

My plan friend, is to lift it as high as my garage door allows and put a V8 in it and 35" tires one day. I love this truck and one day I will have given her all the attention I can and she will be beautiful. With my limited work time and budget this takes a while to do. However if you had read thouroly through my thread you would see that I have explained what I would like to do in detail here and there, about how I was trying not to spend much making a cool guy toy then my ideas changed and that I just turfed my old lady a while ago and moved back to my home town, so Im kinda getting settled in here and making a home and stuff too. Thats my thread in a nutshell for you. If you are wanting to see this thing jacked up with a fancy paintjob that might not happen ths week
But one day it would be nice to have to lower the tires to get under the door. Or to be able to put jackstands under the points and take out the tire valves to do any work behind the wheels. But please stay tuned in, I have a few followers of my thread. But for the grand inquisitor, here is a list of mods I would like to one day have done:
-5" Superlift cause the kit had pewter color powder coat that will match the:
-Pewter on Black paintjob.
-35" tires, no BFG junk
-Killer Alpine stereo system (own it, just havent got it in)
-New body panels and a louvered hood, my friend and I are gong to fab a sweet hood
-New windshield.
-New frontend and brakes (current project)
-350 multiport V8
-Dual-Twin exhaust thats fairly loud
-Interior mods and custom touches (some done already)
-I would like new leather seats in black for the front and back too.
-Gauge cluster replacement
-Roof rack with tire mouth
-Rollpan cut to fit the hitch
Looks like most guys mod lists. PLease have a look back through my thread as I did the center console up all custom and its kinda neat you might like it.
The city paved a new path along the main road to my work that has humps and curves in it and is just beautiful!! So I will be back to riding this for a while.

Yes this chubby 31 year old can still throw a skateboard down and outrun your *** on it! I even used to be able to ride halfpipes a little and was a mean little street skater before I could drive. Since I dont to trick riding at all and just cruise now, my deck is still in tip top shape. Its a 1999 Alien Workshop - Danny Way. If you dont know who danny way is, look him up cause the guy is the record holder for vert jumping - thats vertical distance out the top of a halfpipe. Look it up on youtube, its sick, yes its the one with the helicopter ramp entry.
But that is only because I did this so I can install that pile of parts that I have been adding to and adding to. ALso, the front end is making such a bad clanking noise on bumps that Im afraid to pop a balljoint. We checked the front end and none of the balljoints are bad enough to be clunking, so its time to tear a little deeper in seach of shiney clunk spots.

Saturday I soaked her all down in SeaFoam DeepCreep and got it on stands. I also made a last trip to NAPA and grabbed some more goodies. From looking at pics and reading about the SuperLift kit that I want, it comes with new lower arms, bushings, balljoints, so I am not doing the lower arm bushings. Other than that I think I got it covered. I bought the cheap shocks instead of the good ones, cause the kit has new shocks in it too. Crap part is that they are friggin yellow! So no pics.
Damit, I just had this whole thing filled out and when I hit delete it went BACK and I lost everything... Ill do it again later Im so mad. Damn wireless keyboards at couch to TV distance...
Everything is now loosened off. The only stuff I had trouble with was the passenger side upper shock bolt seems to be welded into the shock. Ive given it overnight and will see how well this stuff loosens it up, because it sure loosened everythign else up. I sure hope the bolts arent welded into the control arm bushings too. And I also hope I can rig my balljoint press to push out and in the bushings too. Im sure I can. I still have to go get a deep 36MM socket because for some stupid reason the axles stick out an inch and a half farther than they need to.

Danny way is insane. He jumped the great wall of China didn't he?
your "wants" list is similar to mine except instead of a lift i want to lower. i'll be here the whole time though so no worries from my end
