Not unless I find a cheap one and impulse buy it. There is a vise in my new garage already.

Gotta get a Superlift kit, a bedroom set, some odds and ends for my house, and an engine jack (can borrow one too) Oh, and another truck to drive. I have a line on a 91 4x4 blazer for 600 bucks thats driveable and insurable.

Also got a brand new mower to start customizing too... Brother bought it, it wouldnt start, and he lost his receipt so its been in his shed for 2 years... i figure if I bend the braket that grounds the coil when the safety handle is sprung back to where it should be then it will start right up. Its got no spark. Its never ran or cut grass.

Ill try and post some photos of my new stuff...

that is good to know. I had a power drill without a chuck key, but I don't need it anymore since I burnt it up drilling the holes in my quarter panel for the tire rack

Well the IMPRINT that I have had on backorder for a month or more now finally came in. If you read back some pages I had another one, but it was for the wrong head unit so I had to return it and order this one.

$157.00 - Alpine PXA-H100 - IMPRINT/AiNet module for Alpine CDA-9884

Looks like I might be getting cracking back on the stereo install tomorrow seeing as its a long weekend! Hopefully Ill have some amazing tunes this week now.

It looks like I am about $800 into the head unit and sound quality, and $300 for boom and amps... This thing better make me wet when all is said and done! I dont mind cause my last Alpine was a CDA-7837 which was the killer stuff of its time, and the deck cost 1199 itself... Then someone stole it.

Now I have 880watts RMS of pure Alpine power (cept the line driver is a Phoenix Gold). With all the toys except the BlueTooth module, cause I dont take phone calls when driving, and its another $160 that I would rather buy women drinks with BOOYAH. And once the deck has been Imprinted by my computer, Ill be the cats **** in SQ, and Im sure if I turn the Imprint off Ill rock at SPL too.

My Alpine guy tells me that I will need to fix all the rattles in the interior before Imprinting it cause the mic will hear it and report an error because of the rattle. I am so going to have to test what he says and report my findings back to any of you who watch the build threads. im SURE that you all have the same back window squeak that I do. I saw a thread about dipping the "U" in latex, Im going to try that if the Imprint registers a fail, or Ill just lean against the window while it does its testing and stuff, cause I cant hear that squeak when its cranked up anyways.

I was thinking about getting the imprint, let us know how much better it makes your system sound

any type of processor will make your system sound much better. i do not have any type of processing yet (next purchase maybe). to solve your rattles, the best option is to sound deaden your truck like i did. its a pretty big investment but it makes driving so much nicer when you're not constantly hearing panels rubbing.

i've had my eye on getting a Rockford Fosgate 360.1 for processing or if i somehow get the money, a JBL MS8.. oh wow would that be amazing stuff

I intend on using alot of that rubberized undercoating on the inside of the body panels whenever I get the panels off and also that expanding foam I have heard good things about.... Ive pulled some panels and this truck has alot of cancer I didnt know about (I dont really have inner fenders on the front just bolts where they used to be)... Im considering hunting out another blazer and just driving this one into the ground...

Yeah the processor makes a world of difference. Lots of guys have loud systems, and they sound good... But not everyone uses a processor which makes it sound AMAZING...

I have every bit of faith in Alpine products, and I know its going to sound good.

It will sound like Thor himself is swinging his mighty hammer in my backseat.

Benedict, what deck you have, whats your setup? If you have an Alpine 2008+ (the harness plug is BLACK not grey) the I reccomend that booster you can see back a couple pages. It made a whole world of difference, much clearer, and I gained about 5 volume notches from it. The deck puts out 45x4 true RMS with the booster on, and the harness is 1 meter off each side so locating it is a snap.
