Good plan - they didn't have the problems then that they're having now.

GM is really sucking as of late. And ..... all the '15 models are going to get an 8-speed transmission! They can't even get the 6-speed right ... so lets add 2 more gears to the equation. Brilliant!

Anyway .... I can't wait to see your build when it's done! That 5.3 pushes my 6,200 lb. truck like it's a sports car. It should perform REAL nice in the Blazer!

Tires are mounted. And I put my pillar lights back on finally.

Then I picked up a snorkel from a friend of mine. It looks like it's going to actually work out ok. I'll have to wait till I swap my master cylinder and instal a prop valve so I can pull the abs box out for space to hook up the snorkel but otherwise it should work fine with some heat and massaging. It's held at a crap angle in the pic so don't mind that lol

And a pic next to his jeep.
It's got a 3" lift on 35s

Looks killer man. I have the same snorkel and am doing the same thing to get it in lol. Too funny. They are definitely siblings.

Thanks man!

I sold my torsion bar crossmember today so I turned it into more parts for the blazer! Just ordered inner c gussets/shock mounts from Ballistic Fab and a set of shock hoops from eBay. It costs me $5.98 out of pocket

Im not sure on the snorkel. Its kinda low on my priority list. But, probably this fall/winter. I need to square away a lot of other odds and ends first. I really like the lights near the A pillar. Im probably going to go to all LED on my rig. Trying to keep it streetable, but lol, not sure its going to happen.

Yeah ive already started messing with the snorkel lol! First thing I did was sand off those silly letters that spelled "jingdingdaching" WTF!! It came off really easy and then I shot a light pebbly coat of spray on bed liner on it to add texture back from where its smooth from sanding the letters. It came out really clean and you can't even tell there was anything there! I'll get pics later. I like LEDs but my wallet doesn't and for $20 a piece you can beat the output of the procomp lights!

Rex I move out of mom and dads house for college in three weeks exactly and now you're doing the motor to REALLY make me envy you!! I'll probably be waiting the next four years before I get an SFA OR Motor upgrade now! Plus my motor is brand new anyways. I'm stuck to little upgrades that I can do in the campus parking lot for the next year or two now!

I'm a recent member, finally takin the bull by the horns with fixin up my 97, mechanically it's pretty good but it's got a lot of belly rust, thinkin if I can get rid of that then bedliner would be a great coating to prevent it from happening again, how has it held up? has there been any troubles with heat?
