My small 96 Blazer build
Swapped in a new throttle cable since mine broke at the fire wall and was causing drivability issues.

Then I managed to get one side of the shock mounts on the axle. Looks like I will have about 4.5-5" of up travel and 7-7.5" down travel with the shocks I have now. That should be plenty with the 8004 springs. I will be swapping to different springs and shocks down the road for more flex but for now it'll work.

Got one shock hoop almost finished today. It was slow going cause I have my 16 yr old at work with me so I had him doing a bunch of the grinding and cutting for me so he could learn a bit. I was going to plate the whole frame but opted to just use some spare 1/4" plates I has laying around instead. It's more than strong enough for me so it'll do. Not sure if it was my welder or the dirty greasy frame or just me but the welds aren't all that beautiful today but whatever they penetrated deep that's all I care.

I put it at the slight angle to work with the axle swing. The other side of the hoop will get finished welding in tomorrow cause of course I ran out of wire today.

Pass side is done.

The driver side is trimmed and tacked up just have to finish burning it in tomorrow and throw some paint on it and I'll have from shocks then it's time to figure out what I'll do for the rears. I go on vaca for 10 days starting next Friday afternoon so after I finish the driver side tomorrow I probably won't do much else till I get back.

Oh and I figured out my welding issue... My helmet was about 3 clicks to dark so I couldn't see what I was doing as good as I should have. Turn it down a bit and the welds look a ton better! Still not perfect but owell it's wierd angles with bad access and I'm not a damn professional lol!

Keep up the good work!
