I love being able to hear my truck when the windows are down, but sometimes I just like to get away from all the noise of the world, roll up the windows and be in my own little world of silence. Besides the main goal of all this is to eliminate rattles and squeaks more than anything else

That is similar to me. i love rolling up my windows and talking to people with "inside voices" as my nephew calls it. You will never quiet the noise of hitting a pothole here in Michigan... let me rephrase that, a sinkhole.

I'm very big into audio, so getting quiet is mandatory.

Sinkhole? You must be driving in the nicer areas than me. Pretty sure some of the roads around here can be classified as gravel pits at this point!!

And yes it is nice to have an audio system and be able to hear only it, and not everything else.

Yeah, I know those areas, they are horrible, just joking that it seems like some of our roads are almost back to gravel roads.

So I am going to install the Big 3 finally tomorrow hopefully. I got the radio installed and the Nav systems wired in today. That was kind of a pain in the ... but its in. Just need the last Blue LEDs for the instrument cluster and then it can all go back together.

But I do have a question in regards to the Big 3 Install. Its all 0/1 AWG wire. Do I run the ground from the battery to the engine block and from battery to frame, or can I Get away with going battery to frame and frame to Engine block?

Finally back in town so I can work on my ZR2 some more, got a few things done with it, including finishing the tune up today. Man were the cap and rotor in need of replacement. Anyway, I should have some more pictures to throw up coming here in the next couple days.Pictures of the Big 3 upgrade, new 250A AD244 alternator and Amplifier install pics.

Default I cant believe my luck

So just when I get back in town to do some work, I get sent out again to a different state. Can't believe its been since January. Few updates and pics though.

First off, new grill insert thanks to the guy that backed into my front end with his jeep. luckily the only damage was the grill. Went with the one that didnt have any chrome on it. Afterwards, I decided to upgrade headlights and turn signals as well.

Also got my Rare Electrical 250A AD244 installed with the Big 3

That enabled me to finish up the little bit of interior and start working on the subwoofer and amp install.

PWK Designs box. 37"x16"x14" The picture shows me measure off cable lengths for the amp that will mount on top. I still managed to cut the Ground cable about an inch too short but it still works just a little tighter.

The DD Audio 2512 D2 installed into the box. I still need to paint the box but I was getting impatient and wanted the system installed

And now the box, sub and Rockford Power1000 25 to Life test fitted into place and making sure everything turned on and worked (which it did)

I love the system already and it isn't even fully tuned yet. I want to get a better picture of the sub and amp installed more permanently but first thing is first. I gotta replace the fuel pump that just took a dump last night.
