Just muffler and tip. From what I hear an aftermarket Cat won't change much. And for what it will change, won't be worth the coin.

I'll see if I can get a decent sounding video of the exhaust.

Those really are pretty bad pics. I forgot the camera when I went to the shop, so tried to get by with my phone.

I love the tails. From about 20 feet out they look like they are tinted black and match the truck. They have a nice unique look to them, kinda match the stealth look I have going on. They are also super bright. The LED rings come on when I signal and brake.

I originally wired them up as the running lights, but they completely overpowered the incandescent bulbs. Way better as the brake/signals! Plus I can use the LED's during the day this way.

More questions for you audio intellects:

Are the door speakers 6.5" or 6.75"?
Rear are 6x9"
Tweeters on dash are 6x4"

Correct?

Would it be more beneficial and have the most difference to replace the rear 6x9's because they are the biggest? And what type of speaker do I need? 1-way, 2-way, 3-way?

Same goes for the door speakers. 1-way, 2-way, 3-way?

Doors are 6.5" and you either have tweeters (about an inch) or you have small speakers in the dash.

Depends on what you like and whats in your budget. I have 3 ways in the back and they sound good, but lots of highs. I have components up front (seperate speaker and tweeter with a crossover) and they sound great. I have the tweeter in the dash.

I buy from these guys. They are cheap and fast shipping.

These guys sell sets usually for cheap.

i'm running a pair of RF 4 x 6 plates in the dash and 6.5 MTX (thunder series) in all the doors. both sound great in the truck.

for now.

i was running JBL GT series in my Jetta. sounded pretty good in there. but they're only 45W RMS (but peak @ 135W)

i'm with Brad though, definately gonna go to components when i upgrade the Hulk's sound system.

as for 1 way, 2 way or 3 way? i'd go with a top quality pair of 3 way 6 x 9's for the rear. you'll hear the difference.

Thanks for the input! I can't even pretend that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to audio!

Futureshop is currently about the only audio place that sells for a decently low price. The other shops are privately owned and cost a ton!

I was looking at these speakers for the back:

And possibly these for the doors:

What do you guys think?

If you're going to get those why not buy from Sonic Electronix? for both sets, it'll only cost $150 and with standard shipping it'll be free. i just looked, those aren't bad speakers at all. they'll be a good upgrade but will sound much better with an amp and an aftermarket radio.

while you're at it, you should also upgrade the dash speakers

total, $200

Well about $215 after shipping to Canada for just the 6x9's and 6.5's. Which is still a $35 savings, which is always nice!

I'll check out Crutchfield Canada to see if they are cheaper too. I'm looking into getting a deck too. I'll have to buy an adapter so I can retain my steering wheel controls.

Hmmm...crutchfield says those speakers are not compatable. Any idea why?

they aren't compatible because our speakers are 6.5 and those speakers are 6.75 supposedly or something similar... they'll work no problem, crutchfield also said my JL speakers aren't compatible but they worked just fine

I kind of figured. I imagine most things are possible, just not ideal. And I'm sure that's what they put under not-compatible.

They do have the deck I want on Crutchfield. Free shipping, the same price as Futureshop, and come with instructions to install, antenna adapter, and dash plate. That sounds good!
