i agree with the others. thats a situation where you fight it. worst case scenario is that you lose and they put up signs so they don't go to court again

Since she was on my right I'm at fault. I can honestly tell you that NO one drives that road like an intersection, everyone yeilds to the main road, which I was on.

So I owe money for my deductible, and lose 6 points off my insurance, aka 6 years of perfect driving. I'm now at -4.

All that, and the damage was estimated at $4,700. Unbelievable for a dent, hood and bumper.

Also my bushguard was apparently a factory option, and isn't available anymore, so I have to get an aftermarket one that is worth around $250 less. They want to replace my headlight, which I had to paint and was a pain. Also want to replace my signal, which is a clear tinted one. I didn't tint it, and I'm not experienced to do it to the replacement.

A whole lot of pain in the ***.
Working in the auto collision industry, It isnt hard to get $5,000 in damage now days. Right now the average estimate is right around $6,000.

I would fight that, find a good lawyer. How is the exit of a parking lot onto a main road an uncontrolled intersection? Draw a nice diagram for them, especially if there was any type of curb or rain gutter dividing the road from the parking lot.

Even take a look at how its paved. Intersections are paved in a way that the through way is paved as one section whereas the parking lot will have a crease. It is done on purpose for that exact reason. Take a look, Some pics will be huge!

Thanks for the help guys!

Just an update; the Blazer goes in on February 22nd for repairs.

Also have an off topic question for you guys: I have heard before that the HID headlamp kits dont work with the Canadian DRLs. Im assuming that was for the DRLs that use the high beam at half power though. Any know if the HIDs effect the DRLs that use the low beam at full power?

It doesn't affect them. Streblo has them and they work fine. just reverse the polarity (switch the plug around) and they will work fine. ZR2 have the DRL as the low beam full-power.

Beauty!

I was excited to get HIDs, then I remembered they don't work with DRL, then I remembered I have different DRL's, excited again.

Have to try to enjoy the positives about this, lol.

my drl is the high beams half powered. i only have low beam HIDs without affecting the DRL.

i guess i don't understand the dilemma you're talking about

That's true, it wouldn't matter regardless unless you got high beam HIDs.

Apparently the accident rattled my brains around a little bit.
