Apparently the accident rattled my brains around a little bit.
I highly recommend going with a kit from www.ddmtuning.com. For a 9006 kit with slim ballast's it was $42.00 shipped to my house. Also have a lifetime warranty.

I was gonna suggest the same PJ. I've heard lots of good stuff about them. The videos on youtube make them look bright and crisp! I have 5 kits in my cart on the site for 225 shipped! That made my choice for me.

ummmm.........you'll want to stay away from those slim ballasts, they don't live long-especially with playing off the black top.

Which set did you go with? The "Raptor"? Did you require any additional parts like the harness, code eliminator, adapter cables or mounting brackets??

Thick ballasts are the better choice? Either way, with lifetime warranty it shouldn't matter a whole lot, but I wouldn't enjoy taking it apart ever 3 months!

I'm thinking of going with the pretty standard 6000K.

just get the large balasts there is more than enough room behind my grill for all 4 of my large balasts, and don't bother getting the 55 watts they aren't any brighter than the 35's, plus the 35 watts are cheaper, just be warned it takes two weeks to get HID's from ddm

i have had the raptor kit installed for about a year now no problem. i had one issue once with a kit that lasted me 18 months. i love the look, the feel and the durability of my replacement kit. 35 watt kit is more than bright enough in city and county road driving

i've been told that there is better heat dissipation, whic makes sense. and i agree with ya Will, lifetime warrenty is awsome. but not so awsome if you're pulling it apart more than once to have something replaced.

and that's also something else i was told was a waste of money. i was originally looking for a 55W set, since i live in the country, and it was the 4th shop i talked to that set me straight on how little difference it did make.

if i hadn't of gotten such a killer deal on my LB & HB kits, i would've bought some from him.
