after i redirected my passenger headlight, i never got bothered again. i've had HIDs for the last 2 years without any problems. always ran 6000K.

DDM isn't a bad company but they aren't great either. When my ddm kit dies, i'll buy HID extra.

I did a "feel" test of heat and there is almost no difference. HID was slightly hotter but barely

Thanks for checking

So I took off my MAF, expecting it to be filthy (reason my MAF engine light is coming on). Instead it was pretty much clean, a little dusty, but I cleaned it off. Still getting the check engine light when I hit the highway or rev it too high too quickly.

Any other suggestions of what might be triggering the engine light with the "MAF Sensor" code on it??

Check your cat. Could be a warning sign. Mine was at about 10 psi before the cat. 1/2 psi is too much lol.

Well after 3 weeks in delays to get the blazer into the shop I finally got it in on Monday. It was supposed to be finished today, but has been delayed until Monday afternoon. They were missing bumper brackets and headlight brackets from what I gather.

So here's the bad and the ugly.

The signals are chrome, which is what I asked for, so I can tint them. But they have 2 ugly reflectors on each one. Hopefully I can tint them enough to make them not noticeable.

They claim the headlights and signals I wanted can't be found. The auction I linked them to on ebay ended and they can't be found anymore apparently (5 minutes of searching on ebay proved otherwise). I think they just found it much more convenient to open up a catalogue for a local store and buy the first thing they see.

The headlights are the exact same as the ones I currently have, but in chrome, so that won't due.

So if anyone is interested in those halo/projector headlights in chrome for cheaper send me a pm. I think I'll sell em and get the ones I told the shop I wanted, then get my HID's.

Edit: Anyone have a recommendation for clear coat after tinting the signals? I bought a can of the "VHT Nightshades". Not sure if there is any recommended clear coat or if just any will work. I should have some Krylon Fusion clear lying around.

I used a IPC premium clear coat, and mixed some black base coat into it and just put coats on untill it was dark enough for my tastes.

Hmmm well I'm no master painter, but I'll give it a shot with the clear. Doesn't matter a whole lot to me because I'm not really a fan of the double reflectors on them.

By the sounds of it too they are going to give me a box with all my old lights and stuff back. When SGI (government) is actually supposed to take the parts. But oh well, not my call. lol
