I had a feeling it was you who had the hook up with family in the States!

I mean I do too but I've seen him once in the last 7 years lol

But for $50 I could probably find them in a performance store next time I travel to the states. Might cost a bit more but o well.

I saw a ZR2 with a shackle lift today and it didn't look to good Mind you the whole vehicle was in haggard shape but still.

I was thinking about the whole T-bar, body lift thing. Decided just to balance out the ride height and call it good. This truck has a lot of life left in it so I would rather not kill all the suspension parts!!

Got both sets of oil cooler lines replaced today... cost a small fortune

Oh well, problem 1 of 2 fixed. I also asked at the dealer how much they would charge for that ratcheting mechanism in the parking brake. The part that they sell includes the parking break lever (foot one) and a box that is connected to it that contains all the gismos that work it. Only $103. Kind of shocking considering they wanted $107 for a little plastic rim center cap.

Sometime soon I'll take off the interior panels hiding the parking break and try to see if mine is totaled or just needs a little TLC.

I also tried to see if the dealer could get me a little plastic roof plug. That little one that is right above the rear seat - seatbelts. It took them a good 20 minutes of searching to come up with the verdict that the only place to get them is the states and will cost $15-30. A little pricey for something that doesn't do anything. I'll check out the wrecking yard and see if they are anywhere to be found on the one blazer that's there.

And finally...I bought some chrome to add to the Blazer. Goes against my morals, but it will be tasteful! I'll get pics once I install it.

I just taped around mine and sprayed it with a few coats of primer, black and clear coat.

You can always pop your grille right out and then un-bolt the bowtie and paint it by itself. That would produce better results and have less room for error.

The grille should just have a few little clips that you can pop out then take it off. The bowtie has 2 cheesy little plastic "bolts" holding it in. Be careful not to snap them if you do it this way.

I didn't take my grille off because my bushguard wouldn't allow it haha. I'm going to be taking off the guard and the grille and doing the whole thing in about a week.

My bowtie has been painted for about a year and only has one little chip in it. There are some pics of it taped off in my profile I do believe.

Depends whether you want it to have some texture to it or not. I think bedline would look real good. It would hold up against bugs and rocks really well too!
