So, over the weekend I decided I'd try and replace my upper control arm, figured it would be pretty straight forward. Let's just say things didn't got as smoothly as I'd hoped!

Long story short, I ended up having to pull the wheel bearing and CV shaft in order to pound the upper ball joint stud out of the spindle. Do yourself a favor, an always have the right tools on hand or you'll end up like I did...

Jeez, I know exactly how these things happen! I have had many experiences with having to try and fix something with only having a limited amount of tools with me. Which makes a 30 minute fix into a 2 hour fix.

Haha, I wish it had only taken two hours! Between running back and fourth to NAPA and other commitments, it took 3 days.

I spent a few days spending a few hours taking off my upper control arms and ball joints. Those things are quite a surprise to change out.

Do you remember what part number your steering stabilizer is? My truck has the bracket on the cross member like yours but no where to mount the other end of the stabilizer. Did yours come with brackets and hardware to mount with?

Sorry, I haven't been on in a while. I don't remember the part number, but I believe I ordered it from summit. It came with a dual u-bolt hardware kit to connect it to the relay rod. Hope I wasn't too late to be of any help haha

Got quite a bit of work done.
Replaced the driveshaft including the u-joints on both the transfer case and differential side.
Just finished putting some Z85 towing leafs under the rear end of the Jimmy. The "soft ride" spring suffered under load and I ended up bending them and they had a negative arch on them, not good haha.

So, it's been about 2 years since I picked up a spare tire carrier for the Jimmy. This week I finally had the time to get things going!

I still have to mount the latch plate on the tailgate and finish putting my interior back together.

Just got everything buttoned back up today. Had to alter the bumper end cap on the passenger side to get it to fit
