Yeah I did. I ended up doing the second coat in a high performance wheel paint. No idea how it will hold up...probably not that great. I'm not worried about it though it was just a temporary mod. I plan on picking up some crager's or some other black rims eventually. So if this doesn't last very long I wouldn't be upset lol.

I'm interested in seeing how it does. I was just wondering. I thought about doing mine, but it didn't seem worth the effort of buying paint for my gun when I could save that money for wheels.

Sisk. Sisk, sisk, sisk. It seems like only yesterday that you were brand new here and all stock. My how you've grown...

Looks good man. glossier than I thought they'd be, but they pop nicely. Hit them with the hose or a bucket of water weekly. PITA I know, but it will keep your paint on even as the salt chews it up. Plus, no curb kissing young man!

I'll let you know how they hold up. It was a big mod for under $20. It completely changed the look of the truck too, so it was worth it IMO.

I will be...as mentioned. I meant to when I did my rims, but I completely forgot.

lol, I know. Seems like my truck was all stock just yesterday. They turned out a lot shiner them I thought they would too...I was expecting flat black. I didn't end up clearing them because they were so glossy.
I'll do what I can to keep them clean. And I don't curb feel lol. My rims were absolutely destroyed from the previous owner..they liked to kiss the curb.

nothing like passing a little love chrome to your local curbs to let them know you care...

just a question; how did your project get the name 'Maritime Blazer'? i understand your proximity to water and all, but I was curious

The name comes from where I live. The Eastern provinces in Canada: New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia (where I'm from) are referred to as "The Maritimes"...so when I was trying to come up with a name "Maritime Blazin" just popped into my head lol.
To tell you the truth, my eventual plan is to have 'Project Punisher'. I'm going to eventually re-name my truck to "The Punisher". I would have started with that name, but there was nothing really unique about my truck, so I didn't think the name was appropriate. Someday when I get it painted flat black, lift it and get some big tires for it I'll rename it to "the Punisher" and have the punisher skull in my back window:

Oh. Em. GEE! :icon_gasp:
Perferrated Vinyl "Punisher Skull" (possibly battle damaged) on the rear windshield, on the right truck (um... lifted, black, meaty *** tiress, CHECK) would be wicked bad ***!
All you would need then would be a turret, flip out Dillon-Aereo 7.62 mini gun, 1x butt load of rounds, and go dispense your own form of vigillante justice !

That and one of these IRL. (g.i. joe 'badger vehicle push bumper)

hahahaha...I'll have to get one of those man.
That is my plan eventually...after the lift and tires. I'd have to get some sort of bull bar/brush guard up from of course to fit the theme. I was planning on having Luis cut me the skull for the back window.
This is all down the road of course...not going to happen anytime soon.

BTW - for those who asked about my exhaust...I'm still planning on taking a video of it. I haven't had a chance to get out and take some decent pics/vids of my truck. I plan on doing it this week though if it doesn't rain (it's been raining almost constant for about a week now).
