Does anyone know if itwould be a good idea to create a pinned hood setup... and remove the latch?
I wouldnt change to pin on hood unless your latch is screwed up....... Just more crap to do to get the hood up. Then you have to drill holes in the hood and its trashed if you decide you dont want a pin hood anymore

i agree with 86Blazer on that one.

why not wait and see what ebachrville's blazer looks like when he's finished? he's been building that 2000 Turbo Diesel Blazer Benz , and hopefully he's not too busy to have it finished by now, and post some pic's up.

All items are in

New tail lights $15
Rad support $40
Rad $100
Ac Condenser $50
Tail light covers $20

Now just need to install and get her running and then work on the lights and hood

Currently lookign at some smoked lights and then new hood and fenders and then possibly a bedliner paint job if money allows at the end of janurary

Are those the only mechanics keeping the truck from running?

Yessir... But due to the fact that I got to school an hour away from home I dont really have the time to install them atm....

The deer jacked up the condenser and the radiator, so their is currently no coolant and I need to have the ac recharged and installed

I had a two guys check it out and there is nothing else wrong... Then to make it street legal I would have to have lights put back in... the hood/fenders are only lightly damaged... and could makeshift work.. but if it would repaint it then i would want them replaced...

I wish I had gotten pics of her but I was rushing to get back to Peoria to shop today.
Installed the A/c Condenser and the radiator with the old shroud currently to get her moving.... she still purrs with a slight click from the radiator shroud against the fan...

Dropped about 100 bucks at autozone for a complete fluids change.
after trying to bend out the hood, its in dire need of a new one... lol.... but I spent about 5-6 hours with the fiancee's father and bonded.... now its just time to get the replacement shroud in (yes i know i have to remove the radiator lol) and then find lights

pics tonight maybes

Good to hear you got it going! How come you have to remove the radiator to put the new shroud in?

The shroud is a two piece and the bottom piece is what the radiator sits on.

Hmm mine must not have been seated right when I did my body lift because I didn't have to move the radiator to drop the lower part down. Guess I got lucky.

I could be wrong but the fiancee's father and I did it that way, and replacing it wont take to much... Here are the pictures of it...

The radiator support is brand new, along with the radiator(not seen), and the ac condenser is used (30 bucks cant argue)

The two pictures from the hood, one is the paint, and the other is a bit thick.... Bondo??? PIsses me off because the carfax is/was clean when I bought it... And come to find out... The bottom of the radiator shroud was zip-tied together and also there was a zip tie helping to hold the computer in place... guess its nicer looking than a bunch of duct tape
