Well its actually the baffle to hold the radiator in place... It was 17 bucks at a gm dealer so I ordered it and will reinstall sometime on tuesday.... I only called it a part of the shroud because the lower piece of the shroud sits in it.... so now it is sitting again without running.... but soon...

Waiting for it to warm up as the garage isnt 100% insulated and the heater doesnt keep you warm since its been around -4 here lately....

Waiting for my check at the end of the month and will pick up a hood and lights... I budgeted 500 bucks to get it back and going by Feb.

Looking at a ram air hood for about 300 bucks... not cowl... but the ram air like the camaro hoods... but we will see

Only -4? we're having 40mph winds on top of this 8 inches of powder. Hope you aren't getting covered as much over there.

A ram air hood would look real nice on yours. I like them on 4 doors

Thanks... so far I have a 500 dollar budget on my own and might have my mother and father help and that could leave room for accessories...

As a side note I am contemplating swapping out the radio... I have a mtx box from back in the day with 3 10" subs that sounds decent enough, but I love the look of the factory radio, and would want a touch screen, but those are too damn expensive, and wiring the sub to the factory radio is a waste of time imo

I sure don't regret buying my screen. It beats any radio that I could have put in and looks as factory as I think it could.

What is it? I am looking at Best buy as for some reason I get like 2-3 gift cards for christmas to Best Buy...

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Pioneer+...&skuId=9197068

Its a pioneer and looks decent... Way to expensive imho, but its the cheapest decent one I have found....

I have installed all my own stuff with the help of a friends father, RIP, but will have my friend help so Anything done on the blazer, I just pay for parts without paying for labor... (he charged a pack of beer, or soda... because I was 16 at the time....)

I think that doing stuff like the stereo yourself is much better as you tend to feel more accomplished...

In my 95 mercury tracer we put in a Dual headunit (flip down with red color, thing crapped out) and then Red Sony Xplod speakers in all the factory locations... I like the factory looking systems

I got a F700bt for mine off caraudio forums for 300 for my blazer and then had to buy a Bravada dash bezel. I got a F90bt for 420 for my dad off that forum also so if you watch around on there you can find some nice deals. Best buy will be hard to find as low of a price.

I hear you on doing your own stuff. I've never payed anyone to do any work. I like doing things for the same reasons as you.

Plus, I tend to be a neat freak with my gadgets and vehicles...

I washed the blazer every weekend until the accident..
I like doing nice clean wires so the next owner (if there is) can easily see whats what...

I am also looking into changing the plugs and wires and completely coloring under the hood while the radiator is out, but I am unsure of the amount of work involved and the work revolves around the Fiancees father as he is the one with years of experience...

He actually told me to go ahead and just dont buy a hood... buy big tires... and he wil start chopping up the fenders until there was room for the tires... lol...

I am looking for picture of how the grill assembly connects to the radiator support? I just got it out today and its funning, driving, and the 4x4 works so damn well... I am now only a few pieces and a few weeks (for shipping) and Needs
Grill
Lights
Hood
Bumper

Four items away and roughly 400 bucks... iffy... around there... but I just need to figure out how the pieces fit together because I never got a chance to remove them before the deer
